number 09 is awesome, but i don't think it's as mutated-fishy as they wanted. I will look more into chin wei-chen and if he knows enough english I'll try to get him on here :)

I found this yesterday after talking with a colleague at work about the creature designs from cloverfield and the new Star Trek movie by Neville Page we got to talking about the Korean Monster film the Host. I watched the making of section of the DVD and learned that the artist responsible for the creatures design, Chin Wei-chen did over a hundred versions of this character and built some really nice maquettes, apparently Weta, who where responsible for the full scale creature head where blown away by the lengths he went to to bring the directors idea to fruition. Anyway, here are just a few of the designs and models which he built, for those who haven't seen them before.
