Azael - The First Lyconian

Hello everyone! I've spent many months designing werewolves in my sketchbook which you can see here http://dreamsorcerer.com and then I spent roughly 3 months making them into sculptures! I used Super Sculpey, Mohair, Acrylic inks, Acrylic paint and lots of glue!

Then I spent 2 long days putting it together to try and make it look like the dude is transforming!

Many thanks for looking!

Kenny!

Cool work! Proportions are Hobbit-like... Was that intentional? Great job with the mohair and overall sculpting. That transition collage is very nicely done, too, and really shows a great continuity in progression and intent as well as showing off the various perspectives.

Hello William, haha.. yes he does look a bit of a short arse! I wanted him to look short-ish but I think I made him look a bit too short. I hope it doesn't suck?! Thank you for pointing that out. And I was getting kind of frustrated with the progression so I'm quite happy with how that turned out, but not completely. Many thanks for your kind words :-D

I think they turned out great. The transition is awesome. If I could give any advice it would be: the background seems a bit distracting and I think the fog/mist takes away from seeing the detail of some of yours sculpts. This advice could just be preference, but I know sometimes it's nice to get input. Other than that, very impressive job!

Hello Darkly, thank you very much for your input mate, very helpful indeed! I did struggle with how I approach this image.. in fact I made several attempts. Maybe I shall do another edit to make it less distracting. Many thanks for your feedback :-) Very kind of you!
