Torchlight Golem Concept
Davi Blight --
Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 11:22 PM A couple of friends at work decided it would be cool to create a Torchlight© character/class as a mod for the game.
I designed a Bone Golem King as a class, hopefully we can figure out how to match the rig to a character already in the game and then figure out the rest.
If there is more done on the mod by the rest of the guys i'll post the progress in the future.
but for now, here it is: (click the image for higher resolution!)![]()

What a fun guy!
A solid, weighty, cute pc!
(...Although his weapons do seem awfully extra-refined for his overall look to me...)
(;
thanks :)
Yeah i was testing to see what the character would look like with weapons already built in the game, since that's what he would have to pick up
I edited his sword to make it more basic.
also had to do some small tweaks to his anatomy to make him fit the torchlight world more.
thanks again :)
Great design. :) I love the bones sticking up past his shoulders, almost like the hilts of greatswords or something.
He really is a cool character -- I agree with Chelsea about the shoulder-area bones sticking up: A very excellent feature, and it seems like those really could be the hilts of his various weapons, the blades and axe-heads of which would be mostly hidden within his ribcage. Maybe not a viable option for your purposes, but a neat idea. Just as a design element, they look great.
Cool design sheet davi, he would look great as an isometric character. I'd love to see some animated actions of him bashing shit. The bird head variant is nice.
edit: Had to look up Torchlight, but I see it is an isometric style game. They're some of the more fun games to produce characters for because things become exaggerated and you have to think about the look of a character/creature from that 3/4 top down view and what would and wouldn't be visible or read clearly at that angle. They're some of the more fun and addicting games to play as well.
Ohhh this is exciting as I'm currently addicted to this game between working sessions! Nice designs here. I hope to see what comes of it.
Aye Davi,
Fun man. Good job and it fits the project. While I was at Flagship, I worked on Mythos(aka Torchlight) and did some design work on that project. I should dig those up and post em'.
