Harajuku Zombies

Hi all. I'm starting a new series of pieces combining my two favorite things, zombies and Japanese Pop culture. I wanted to get a nice juxtaposition between the sickeningly sweet Japanese fashion world and just the plain old sickening. Here's a few of the drawings. The paintings will be a bit of a departure for me, as they are going to be a huge mixture of media, and some collage. I'm excited to see how they turn out.

Niiiice Jim. Some of the most tight drawings I've seen you do! I'm assuming you have some of the "Fruits" serious of books. Some of the best ref for Japanese fashion.

Thanks guys. Yep, Vinod, I do have one of the Fruits books. There is also a Japanese market not far from me called Mitsuwa. They have a great bookstore in there that has tons of Japanese import fashion magazines. I'm having tons of fun with this.

Thanks again everyone. I'll have a painting done soon.
