This is extremely beautiful work and technique. I can appreciate the idea behind and also the various ideas illustrated on this one creature; especially how its shedding as so much old and dry paper. I assume the appearance is to be viewed more metaphorically, though because if there was anything to question, it would be how it moves or functions aside from wing flapping.

Great to see you back Mike. You are the master of the fine details. I love the sense of motion and I always appreciate your ability to make us use our imaginations that much more than we already do. Hopefully this won't be a one time post! ;) Looking forward to more.

Nice work, Mike. The abstract shape and plant forms really help drive home the idea that this is more of a spirit type entity than a natural animal.

Kel - Thanks, I'm glad you like it and realize there is just a bit more to it than meets the eye. Yea, it's somewhat more of a "drawing" than it is a plausible/functional concept. I focused mainly on the aesthetics than how it might actually move, it's obviously top heavy and wouldn't really be able to fly but then again it is a deity of sorts and a fictional creature ;) .

Davi - Thanks bro, I've been producing a lot of drawings and other work..just haven't really been showing much of it. Haha, I've never done drugs..I can only imagine what would come out if I did. O_o

Luca - Thanks :)

David - Thanks man. I hope it's not a one time post either. I was waiting a while to post anything because I actually wanted to post "new fully rendered work" specific for this blog, but I've been busy with work and preoccupied with other things. I do have other drawings I can post when I get a chance.

Moai - Thanks man. Yea, it loosely follows some of the structural elements I have been using for my Personal project though the idea/concept has nothing to do with it. Glad you like it.
