sooo I have noticed a lot of u guys are creeps, and are all posting really dark stuff...Here is a little change of pace ;)

I did a collab with clochette [aurélie neyret] for a friend's birthday! The friend is loveandasandwich [chelsea bloxsom] Please check out both of their work! They're both really awesome!!!  Chelsea makes adorable monster plushies!

Clochette did the lines for this illo, and I did the colors/render. I hope u all like it!

Vehtoh: This site isn't meant for JUST dark creatures. Games, Films, and all sorts of entertainment have different styles of creatures and I want this site to be a home for them ALL.

The site is about innovation and professionalism in both design and presentation, and this piece does just that.

The only reason why there aren't many "cute/light" monsters on this site, is because i haven't found many artists like that online. My favorite one that i can think of is Bobby Chiu and he is too busy at the moment.

So if you guys can think of any artists that would add more variety to the site, please leave a comment in the blog or email me at daviblight (at) gmail (dot) com

In fact at first time i watched these creatures, before I read the name, i thaught Bobby Chiu was around here! :)

Nice painting again. What about Peter Chan, the friend of Bobby Chiu, he does great work as well.

This piece is awesome. Wonderfully conceived and rendered. And they are still creatures, so I think they fit in just fine here. I actually find it creepier than some of the more "evil" stuff out there. Look at it this way, it's devious in that it gets kids on the path to loving monsters at a younger age than a lot of our work as it's deemed "acceptable" by their parents because they see the rendering style as cute. But it still has a giant blue monster with his mouth on the side of his head, so I say kudos. I mean it's not like Spectrum where it's supposed to be all fantasy, sci-fi and comics, but there winds up being about 40% editorial work that has none of those elements at all (says a bitter Jim).

Great work. I can't wait to see more.
