Witched 2

I'm starting a personal series of sketches of "Witched" critters, hence the title and the numerical assignment. Witched 1 isn't complete, so here's #2 to kick off the series. He went fast. Please fondle his locks.

this is awesome, it reminds me when frodo put the ring on in the lotr films and saw the ringwrath's true forms.

Yeah, the few who've seen it have said it looks right out of LOTR. Now I see a profound likeness between this dude and the wraith in Frodo's POV in just that moment you describe. I kind of want to tweak it somehow so it seems less like that shot -but I might leave it. I definitely want to rework some of the light. Thanks Davi! =)

You make a very interesting style of art. They have a charcoal look to them. Very cool! Keep it up!!

Another beautiful sketch! Is that a moleskine your working in? I love it when artists paint inside those smaller sketchbooks! :) Its like flipping through little gems of awesome.

Thanks Kray, will do!

Brynn, you got it... it's the small (3.5" x 5") Moleskine. All of these recent sketches of mine are in said sketchbook. I got some larger ones, but haven't really done anything significant in them. I think I will soon, though... get more detail going. :) Thanks for lock fondleage!

Mike, I just love the energy and efficiency of line and form in your sketches.

man that last one is cool, I want to own it as a cave to my super villain lair.

man, everything you do is insane. just fantastic, i wonder how you'd do in zbrush painting with depth, i think you would like it. again, always amazing work.

Davi, we should get to work on building that for you... OK if I can be a super villain too? Or at least comic relief?

brucio what a killer compliment. Much needed ego boost (dealing with personal crap right now). I have dabbled in zb and LOVE it. My roommate is the lead character artist where we work, and he can teach me anything I want to learn. I'll make that one of my art goals. Another of my art goals are these sketchbook drawings. 2 per week. They're not always creatures, but they often are, which explains why I'm spamming this place. I'm about to upload another one to the main page lol. Thanks again man, you made my day for sure. :)

That's a really unique style you've got. Great work.
