- Helpful Bear Production's Launchs Kaiju Creature Design Contest, Judged By Terryl Whitlatch
been real busy with freelance, but I've been doing some critters for morning warmups. I've also included a few working processes shots as well as a sped up video of one of them :O

Thanks for sharing your warmup process! I got a kick out of watching all the possibilities you had going for your "Dragonhound," and enjoyed watching the rendering process. Nice, vibrant color-scheme, and believable anatomy. It would be fun to see a pack of these running around. He looks friendly yet fierce, and the smoke coming out of the mouth is the perfect touch- I like it. =^)
I was going to ask you about your layer setup for your lighting, and then I went through your old posts again and found an example- thank you kind sir! It is much appreciated! =^)
Thanks for sharing your work!
thanks jason! sorry I didn't label the steps :( I will do that next time on the jpg for the future.
I do my shadows and my colors on multiply layer, then render on normal and usually end up using softlight for hue adjustments.
