Can't believe there's no post on this yet- I love the expression you've captured here. I'm not sure if you were going for this, but he looks to me like a character who has seen many days, and not necessarily happy ones. He has, at first glance, a ferocity in how his brows furrow, but when I take a longer glance, I feel like he (I get a "he" feeling from this creature), has a perpetuating sadness. I feel sorry for him and want to hear his tales.
Beautiful sculpt, thank you for sharing this. =^)
One question, if you don't mind, what are the eyes made of? They look like metal beads, and if they are, what would be the best kind/ store to get them from? They're just too perfect, and though I love sculpting eyes in the manner of many ancient Greek sculptors(Concave for the iris with a deeper concavity for the pupil), I would defintiely be interested in trying this. They really breathe life into this piece just as much as the clay itself. Thanks again!
