I really like the change you made to the nostrils in this version of the creature. Glad to see it has nares now. Though the original hollow spot was cool, I feel this change has a nicer balance of form and function, whereas it was more about form and negative space in that particular area's previous design. I kind of miss the little tail from the first version, but only because it made me smile seeing this little tail on this big 'n fluffy ferocious creature. =^)

I have to correct myself about my statement on the previous nostril design- I read further down the creature's description and you have quite a nice explanation on why the nostril was hollow with the missing the septum, so it definitely wasn't just about negative space and form. Since you've changed the creature from a hunter to more of a scavenger now, I feel the newer design change works. You've put a ton of thought into this, and it shows with both the visuals and the descriptions.
