Creature

Friday, April 9, 2010 at 9:08 AM Hi everyone,
This is my first post and I'm always checking this awesome website! I'm glad to post on here with such talented artists :)
This creature was mainly created by Mudbox2011 beta program to create some tutorial videos.
The tutorial videos are out now on the AREA's tutorial page, so if you're interested about that, please watch them, and please feel free to ask me anything (login required)
I used Mudbox, Maya, Topogun and Toxik.
I hope you like the creature :)
Thank you,

I already know your work ! Amazing skins details and texture : )
Is a great character... !
Still pretty human, really... but also not, in the fantasy sense.
great job!

Wow, beautiful work! I've been working on a leathery-skinned creature myself, and it's so inspiring to see other artists' creatures that are inspired from pachyderms and other such mammals. =^) You did an awesome job of alering the symmetry while still keeping it symmetrical overall, not something I always see, since it's far easier to just mirror it perfectly without alterations and call it a day- my hat goes off to you. =^)
Also, thank you so much for posting the mudbox tutorials, can't wait to check them out! Just breaking into the program, and I love it so far. Never been to that site either, so also thanks for bringing it to my attention. =^)
Thanks for sharing your work! =^)
@Mauro
Hi, Thank you for your compliment. You already saw my work? haha, thanks :)
@William
Yeah, I wanted to leave human parts a little bit for him. thanks!
@Jason
Hi there, Thank you so much for your comment! I think I should change more about the symmetry shapes, such as his nose, eye and so on.. but I could learn lots of things from this stuff, I thought.
I'm also looking forward to seeing your the working creature on here!
cheers,
ken
