Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 4:13 PM About a year ago I decided I wanted to do more pen drawing -- specifically, drawings that involved animals in Victorian costume. On a trip to Scotland recently I saw a wild red deer for the first time and I figured it might be time to finish this guy.
For some preliminary sketch work and scale reference (it's a pretty big drawing) check out link. I have an awesome, cushy desk.

This is wonderful pen work. Being on FurAffinity (an anthos art comunity art page) I have seen alot of anthropamorphic work. This is one of the best of this kind! Again, great work!
Bravo, Laurel!
Just looking at all those hatch marks makes my hand wither up like a mummy's!
I love the collar!
Absolutely gorgeous! I'd love a print myself. :) Love the antlers and all of the artifacts you've put into them.

I guess it's not the first time I've noticed an imperfection in this universe, though. I'm just gonna leave another one, cuz, wow Laurel -- This's just uncommonly great and I keep coming back to it. Cheersz'
Brilliant! Ink is such a fun and rewarding medium.
