Finally another post
Frederik Storm --
Monday, March 28, 2011 at 3:06 PM I've been very a bit shy to post because I always feel that my stuff is a bit to cartooney for the rest on the site, but I thought it was about time to pull myself together and make another post on this wonderful site.
So lets start out with the least cartooney creatue I got for you guys:

And then on to the more cartooney stuff:

Thanks for watching!

I have to say, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a cartooney creature, friend! Cartooney is never a bad thing! These are all fantastic! Post your creatures loud and proud, 'cause this is great, GREAT stuff!
Thanks for sharing your work! (don't be shy about sharing more too!) =^)
I have said it in the past and I will say it again, amazing work man. Always cool to see new work from you.
Thanks a ton Jason, really glad you think so!
And I'll try to post more of my monsters as I make them ;)
Thanks Bryan! Really appreciate it man, so glad you like it ;)
These are all pretty cool, but that top pic of the demon head -- I love everything about him.
That green fellow is really fun, legs bother me a bit... not sure if that's just because they seem too far forward or if it's as much to do with the shape. Those dinos are nice -- that ceratopsian has a archetypal sortuv look and it's real easy to imagine what he'd sound like. Thanks for posting!
i love the first and second one. Amazing style. Congratulations !
Oh I love these! I especially like the little guy with the bulge-y eyes. :)
dude, your work is unbelievably awesome. I love your style, your designs and creativity. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee post all the stuff you got whenever you feel like it :)
the site doesnt have to be just doom and gloom :P
oh and fred, im just learning zbrush myself, i was wondering how you go about making a sculpt like this, do you start off with a really low poly mesh and get most of the forms out of the way low poly and then slowly sub-divide or are you just jumping right in and working pretty high poly from the get go? It's a pretty noob question i know, but i'd like to understand more :P
Thanks Will! I'm so glad to hear that, I hope to do more monsters like him in the future ;)
And there might be something a bit off on the green fella, I'll keep that in mind for further sculpts for sure!
Thank you Mauro, really glad you like them! :)
Haha, thanks Erin, glad you like it! ;)
Thanks a ton Davi, so glad you like them, and I'll definitely post more stuff as I make it ;)
And yeah I always try to get as much done on the low res as possible, but quite fast I just start jumping around on the different resolutions, playing with clay buildup ;) (hope we are gonna get a taste of your zbrusing soon ;) )
i'm doing a creature noe, but it's going to be some time, i'm definitely at the stage where i dont have the confidence to make bold decisions and noodle too much.
my first zbrush attempt is this head of peter mensah: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ziltTMp9gcE/TYQTXUlcc4I/AAAAAAAABGU/_WoGDObLd60/s1600/PeterMensa.jpg
a full body creature is much more intimidating.
If you ever want to post a bunch of wips of one of your creatures i'd love to see it the process
J'aime beaucoup le dernier personnage. Bravo!
