This is why you are my hero. Hugely inspirational. I am really loving the sickly pale skin, texture and blood-orange darks.

This thing started out looking more like a dead-end sketch of a creamsicle sculpture, but I unexpectedly broke through the blockage by utilizing the scan of a dried leaf, and I just couldn't be more pleased with where it led me. I'm feeling all Rembrandt-y from it... And now I wish I could anywhere near approximate this look with oil paints... :)
