First post!

Hey everybody!

My name is Travis Lewis. I know a lot of you and I'm looking forward to meeting the rest.

I'm on the way out of town for a christmas party. My wife is literally dragging me out the studio as we speak. I just couldn't wait to get a few images up before I go.

Wow. I love the texture in the first image, it really invokes a sense of the tree/bark. Is that a product of the paper you're using?

Hey thanks!

Belinda. It's partially the texture of the paper. This is on a cold press watercolor by arches. I also use a flat carpenters pencil to help find some the texture, then refine it from there.
