Beasts born of my brain...

Hey everyone! Here's a handful of creatures I've been developing as a personal project based around my love of animals that have unique traits-enjoy!

The Rolling Stag

This arctic mammal has the ability to travel long distances by rolling. Folding together the large, flat horns protruding from their shoulders and catching the wind in their patagium (the extension of skin between the horn and forelimb) the Rolling Stag quickly move over the Arctic tundra in search of food.

The Parachute Bat

This short-nosed specie of fruit bat has special wings that fold together to catch air, creating a drag that allows it to float silently through the forest canopy. This natural ‘parachute’ was developed as a defense against the large birds that live amongst its favorite food source. With keen hearing and poor eyesight the birds are undisturbed as the bat silently moves in to collect its meal and leave.

The Titan’s Mouth

One of the largest creatures ever recorded the titan’s mouth can grow up to 100 feet tall and over 250 feet long.  This creature is only able to sustain its massive size due to its multi-chambered stomach and its unique ability to extend the first chamber for grazing. The first stomach chamber is turned inside out through the mouth and blanketed over large areas of food. Its powerful digestive enzymes are able to dissolve everything in its path and reabsorbed the digested products as food. Working with the other chambers  of its stomach the titan’s mouth can consume enormous amounts of nutrients from almost anywhere.
